Curated station logbook

Recorded mail examples

These selected exchanges demonstrate Winlink mail in both directions. Follow a role link for audio, waterfall, packet inspection and decoded traffic. This logbook contains only the selected examples.

A single data-loss incident cost the project significant development work and logbook material. Among the losses were the high-speed VARA receive recording and the original rig receive recordings for these ARDOP sessions. These examples use the recordings and session records that survived.

VARA receive is a retained L4 example. PACTOR-3 receive is SL3. “Acknowledged transmit” comes from the original session acknowledgments; independently decoded audio coverage is shown in each inspector.

The ARDOP audio comes from remote KiwiSDR witnesses. WW2MI used a 200 Hz session; W6IDS used 500 Hz. After the WW2MI send completed, a receive-parser failure left three offered messages unfetched and END unconfirmed. The W6IDS receive completed with a normal link close.
