N5TW → W9SSJ · 20 m · September 23, 2026, 18:10 UTC. Two complete Winlink messages were received, and one was sent. This retained BW2300 recording reached L4 in both directions: it is a speed-limited receive example, not high-speed VARA. A separate high-speed VARA receive recording was lost in the same data-loss incident that took significant development work, logbook material and the original rig receive recordings for the ARDOP examples. The local monitor tap carries both stations. Its clock is verified against all 16 logged local control-waveform anchors, with a maximum 45.42 ms residual. Software PTT boundaries have millisecond tolerance.
Recorded session
Whole QSO · original logbook outcomeAudio is optional. These recordings contain modem tones and radio noise, not a spoken conversation. The event list describes identified activity, sender, timing and decode results; unidentified intervals are unknown. Decoded bytes can be incomplete or compressed and are not a complete transcript of the recording. Focus a packet control to pause playback for inspection.

Recording waterfall
0–3000 Hz · fixed −100 to 0 dBFS scale · outlines identify the sender; brightness shows the recorded spectrum · TX rail at top, RX rail at bottom · use Playback position to seek with a keyboard
Waterfall measurements in text
Strongest retained frequency bin in each time slice of the current view. These quantized audio measurements do not identify a transmitter or imply a successful decode; use the packet events for that evidence.

Modulation guide
DBPSK: differential binary phase. DQPSK: differential quadrature phase. QAM uses both amplitude and phase. OFDM describes how the carriers are arranged.
